About Me
I was born and raised in Old Coulsdon and moved to Caterham when I married 30 years ago. My parents were born and raised in Purley and Coulsdon, so I have interest with all of these places. I have been a member of the Bourne Society for 25 years and a friend of East Surrey Museum for a number of years. I have collected postcards of local views for the past 20 years and have a number of books of local interest. My other interest is Family History, postcards and old photographs have been a great help in illustrating aspects of my family tree. I decided to set up LocalPostcards.co.uk so that I could sell the surplus postcards, books and prints that I have collected over the years. Thanks to eBay, the interest in postcards of local villages and towns has grown massively, and so I thought that a website dedicated to this growing interest would be interesting to run! |
